If you have a football-mad child and they’re keen on attending a summer football camp in 2024, choosing the best one can be tricky, but luckily for you this is where we can help.
In this article we’re reviewing the top 5 European football training camps available in 2024, which will help you make the decision.
La Liga Academy
The camps are endorsed by La Liga but run by external professional coaches. These coaches possess an array of qualifications, including Physical Education and Sports Sciences, and are also UEFA Pro Licenced.
Although these coaches have experience in La Liga academies and the La Liga methodology, they are not directly connected to the league.

The one-week residential camp offers 20 hours of football training activities, educational and recreational activities, including a La Liga stadium visit, a swimming pool to cool off, and a visit to an amusement park.

AC Milan Academy Camp
The camps focus on the AC Milan methodology and will expose participants to the full football experience, mixing fun and the values of sport.
In a similar style to the La Liga camps, the AC Milan Academy camp uses the AC Milan branding, but the sessions are delivered by a range of external supervisors and coaches.

Under these programmes, all participants are provided with the following:
- Full board accommodation.

Whilst at the camp your children can expect to participate in 4 hours training per day, which includes technical and field training. In-between training, children will enjoy regular meal breaks and free time for games, socialising and evening entertainment.
Train Effective Football Camps
The Train Effective football camps are delivered by a selection of former professional footballers, or highly qualified youth academy coaches, who all follow a professionally designed programme to provide your children with the best possible football experience.
All of the Train Effective coaches are well connected to top European and English football clubs, meaning any participants will get the opportunity to showcase their skills to the right people.

The Train Effective football camps are designed to work on everything your child needs to become a top footballer: tactical understanding, technique, skills development, physical fitness, and mental resilience. These camps place a strong emphasis on both on and off-pitch development.

Manchester City Football Schools
The Manchester City Football Schools are delivered by Manchester City’s football schools designed by Manchester City FC Foundation coaches, following the methods of the professional first team.
Where?
The training element is based at City Football Academy, Manchester, England.
The accommodation is based at Peel Park Quarter at the University of Salford, which is 20 minutes away, although transport is provided as part of the package.
Whilst at the camp your children will enjoy the following:
- Etihad stadium tour.
- 30 hours of training, split between on-field and off-field activities.
- Accommodation and meals.
- Training wear.
- Closing ceremony which family members can attend.
- Relaxation time which includes use of gym and swimming pool, games, communal lounges and a cinema room.

Paris Saint Germain Summer Soccer Academy
The PSG Summer Soccer Academy provides a comprehensive football experience to participants, which includes tactical training, skills development, 11v11 games, smaller sided games, tournaments, and a tour of the PSG stadium. Run by external contractors under the PSG branding, and mainly provided in French. There are also specific ‘international’ events, where training is delivered in other languages, but these are only held a couple of times a year.
As part of the PSG summer soccer academy participants will receive the following:

- Coaching programme by certified PSG academy trained coaches
- PSG academy diploma and end of camp progress report
