Finding the right summer football camp for your child is always a difficult choice.
Especially with all the different options out there! This guide will give you an overview of the best five residential football camps in the United Kingdom this summer 2024!
Liverpool FC Football Camps
Why?
Training Sessions with Liverpool Academy Coaches which allow insight into the life and training of professional Liverpool FC players
Where?
Multiple camp locations near London and Derby, England.
How much?
£2050 ($2595) per week.
The Liverpool FC football camps take place in different variations for players from the age of 9-17 in multiple locations near London and Derby (England). The residential football camps are split into development, performance and goalkeeper camps and take place for one or two weeks.
The children will be coached by Liverpool FC coaches and will get a perfect insight into the life and training of a professional LFC player and get a deeper understanding of the club's philosophy. The camps will be hosted at multiple locations, some of which are located near London and some close to Derby (a city in England close to Oxford).
On top of the training on the pitch, the players will also be able to participate in workshops and conduct a 1-on-1 feedback sessions with their coaches once a week. At the end of the camp, players will also receive an individual report as well as a certificate to take home with them.
Additionally, players will also have the chance to go on an excursion to the home of the REDs - Anfield Stadium!
Chelsea FC Foundation Soccer School
Why?
Training Sessions designed by Chelsea FC Foundation coaches, following the methods of Chelesa's first team.
Where?
Multiple camp locations near London & Brighton, England.
How much?
£2050 ($2595) per week.
The Chelsea FC Foundation football school hosts residential football camps tailored for kids aged 9-17 in multiple locations near London & Brighton (Southern England). The duration can be chosen between one or two weeks, providing a comprehensive experience filled with football activities.
The training sessions are designed by coaches of the Chelsea FC Foundations, following the same methods employed by the professional first team. The camp venues include Chelsea's training center and Charterhouse School in Surrey, known for its extensive facilities such as over 12 pitches, a swimming pool, and a sports center.
The program offers intensive on-field training alongside workshops designed to extend the learning experience off the pitch. For international players, there's also an option to add English lessons on top of their football program to improve their language skills.
Players will also have the opportunity to visit Chelsea's home at the legendary Stamford Bridge which will also be the place where the closing ceremony of the camp will take place.
Train Effective Football Camps
Why?
Once-in-a-lifetime experience of training with a selection English & European academy coaches and the chance to play in showcase matches in front of local scouts.
Where?
Hemel Hempstead, London, United Kingdom
How much?
£1644 ($2082) per week.
The Train Effective Football Camps hosts 5 residential football camps in the summer of 2024 for aspiring players from the age of 13-21. The duration of the camps vary between one, two and three weeks and are designed to maximise the players development on and off the pitch.
All of the Train Effective Coaches are former professional players and/or highly qualified academy youth coaches following the 4 pillar Training philosophy of technique, fitness, tactics and mentality. Players at the camp will therefore not only progress by training on the pitch but also through gym sessions as well as tactical & mentality masterclasses.
Players will also have the opportunity to play in showcase matches in front of local scouts, receive a scouting report and conduct 1-on-1 feedback with their coaches. Players will stay at the 10 minute distant Aubrey Park Hotel, from where they will be transported to and from the pitch with the Train Effective team bus.
On the weekends, players will also be able to go on Stadium Tours of London's Premier League clubs (e.g. Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham or West Ham) as well as discover the city of London on a sightseeing-walk through London!
West Ham United Foundation Soccer Camps
Why?
Training Sessions with West Ham United Foundation Coaches following the methods of West Ham's first team.
Where?
West Ham United Foundation Community Hub
How much?
£1966 ($2495) per week.
The West Ham United Foundation Soccer Camps are available for players from 10-17, both as a Day Camp as well as a residential football camp. The Training takes place at the West Ham United Foundation Community Hub while the international players are accommodated at the University of the Arts at the Sketch House (1hr away).
For the camps, players can also select one of four options to chose the best option for their level of play / position:
standard, development, high Performance, and goalkeeper. The training sessions are led by West Ham United Foundation coaches, helping players improve in all areas of their game!
Players can also choose to book 12 hours of English classes to combine their improvement in football with also progressing in their English skills.
All players will also have the opportunity to visit London Stadium (the home of West Ham United). Residential players can also join an excursion to Wembley Stadium and sightseeing tour in the city of London.
Manchester City Football Schools
Why?
Camp is delivered by Manchester City Football Schools designed by Manchester City FC coaches, following the methods of the professional first team.
Where?
City Football Academy, Manchester, England.
How much?
£2200 ($2795) per week.
The 2024 Manchester City Football Schools holiday programs' offer multiple variations of their camps, either focused on the player's English skills, development or performance for players from 9-17 years old, ranging from one to two weeks.
The camps take place at the City Football Academy, right next to the famous Etihad Stadium. They're delivered by Manchester City Football Schools coaches, following Man City's unique methodology, giving the children an insight into the club's playing style aiming to help players develop their technique, confidence and game understanding.
During the time of the camp the players will stay at Peel Park Quarter at the University of Salford which is just a 20-minute drive from the City Football Academy. The residence provides access to amenities such as a swimming pool, gym, communal lounges with games, a cinema room, and evening activities and entertainment.
A highlight of the camp is also the closing ceremony which will take place at the famous Etihad Stadium.

I been in train effective camp last year for three weeks and those three weeks where one of the best three weeks in my life if not the best weeks I went there everyone was so welcoming the place was so safe and charming and the coaches all of them where fantastic especially coach sam whom was my favorite they all take good care of you make sure you don’t need anything and be safe if you need anything coach Sam is there giving you advice and what you would improve on as a football and what it takes to become pro the training was ever intense they make sure to treat you right showing you what the pros work on and they always give you feedback the training ground was facintaing during the weekend you go on a tour on big stadium liked arsenal tothenham etc making so much memories with your teammates after intense work out you eat lunch then chill with the squad talking about life not just you are just having some good session and getting to showcase your self during games but also making memories and having fun with the lads and coaches would I go back ? 💯 no doubt forever train effective ❤️"
